My story

Dr. Abhinav Sinha is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric dental medicine and a Clinical Professor at the University of Pennsylvania/Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), consistently ranked as the #1 Children's Hospital in the nation and globally. At Penn/CHOP, he plays a pivotal role in training the next generation of pediatric dental specialists, with a teaching portfolio that includes advanced topics in laser surgery, minimally invasive techniques, practice management, as well as health equity and ethics. As a dedicated Professor and Alumni at Penn, Dr. Sinha was chosen to be part of the Dean's Council, and created the "Dr. Abhinav N. Sinha Pediatric Dental Medicine Leadership and Excellence Endowed Fund" to help train the next generation of doctors in order improve the oral health of children worldwide.

Dr. Sinha previously served as Director of the Children’s Dental Health Center and Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital—one of the nation’s top academic medical centers. In this role, he helped shape interdisciplinary pediatric care while mentoring residents and fellows across surgical and dental disciplines.

With over two decades of experience, Dr. Sinha is widely regarded for his clinical expertise across the full scope of pediatric dental medicine. He has a special interest in the care of children with special healthcare needs and in performing complex oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia. He is also a leading authority on the use of laser technology for the functional release surgeries of Tethered Oral Tissues (TOTs - ex. tongue/lip/buccal ties)—helping to improve breastfeeding outcomes in infants as well as improving speech, airway and long-term orofacial development in children.
